Bonaci Media Entertainment, is now a nationwide renowned company in
high quality Television entertainment on local media. This company
way established with one main aim... to entertain, children, youths
and adults.
In 1998 there was the need in our
country for a company like Bonaci Media Entertainment, to produce
entertaining and educational programs, and in the summer of the same
year, the first programme was produced on Super 1 TV with the name "Friskanti"
(Magazine programme for all the family)
This was the start of a series of television programs that were
broadcasted in the afternoon. This was the only programme in the
summer schedule that was being broadcasted at the moment. The
programme "Friskanti" was the first to introduce the Televoting
system. This was highly successful, and counts of over 5000 calls,
were registered in some of the programs. This as one of the main
factors that filled Bonaci Media, with courage and always look
forward to more professional and innovative ideas.
In October of the same year (1998),
in the Maltese media, there was again the need for some more fresh
ideas, and Bonaci Media came up with the idea of Candid Cameras. The
hidden cameras were set-up and members of the general public were
our victims. There were also jokes performed on Maltese
personalities, and in these cases the public were able to see their
real character, in this so called "HudhaB'Cajta" The programme's was
called "Tghid giet hekk hux!?" This programme broke all records of
viewership and the survey from the "Maltese Communications
Authority" confirms over 150,000 televiewer. Towards the end of
this highly succesful programme (March 1999) the producers made a
call for televoting, asking televiews whether they wanted the
programme to continue or not. In less than 3 hours, 35,000 televotes
were recorded with a YES to continue the programme, this showed that
the programme was highly succesfull and was being viewed by
thousands of people from all generations.
In April of the same year, (in Easter Day) a great show was held and
in this show many popular local artists performed to the public. The
programme's name was "L-Ghid it-Tajjeb" (Happy Easter)
After the huge success of the programme "Friskanti" in 1998, the
programme returned to the TV screens in summer 1999 (July -
September). Many new features were introduced to this programme, but
the main feature was when they started out competitions amongst
Chef's, from the kitchens in the studio.
After a short break in October, "Tghid Giet Hekk Hux!?" was resumed
once again till the end of the year 1999. In the same time the
programme "Kollox Ma' Kollox" was introduced, and it's still being
aired till the present day.
The hilarious television series "One Star Hotel" absolutely cannot
be missed out from the list of successful productions by Bonaci
Media. Thousands of people were glued to the TV sets watching the
mischief's of the employees of this weird hotel, these included also
the manager Maurizio and his wife Flavia.
In the year 2000 (April) Bonaci Media, once again held the Easter
show "L-Ghid It-Tajjeb", and in this show, a televote question was
once again asked to the televiewers. This time the televote was to
ask about the soap opera "Ipokriti". This Soap Opera had been
running on TVM from the year 1996. The response was a big YES, and
by that, work from the side of Bonaci Media started again to produce
the return of this very popular local Soap Opera. This Soap Opera
started again in October till December for a total of 26 weekly
episodes On Super 1 TV. After a break of about 3 months, this
Teleserial went back to its mother station where it all started on
T.V.M for the final 52 episodes, from April 2001 till April 2002.
Between January and March 2001, by an agreement with Max Plus TV,
the programme Kollox il-Hadd started, a programme full of variety
for all the family every Sunday Evening/
In October of 2003, Bonaci Media Entertainment produced their first
production for NET TV, where with great success new comical episodes
of "One Star Hotel" and "Tghid Giet Hekk Hux!?" started to be
broadcasted.
In the Year 2003, Bonaci Media voluntarily recorded and produced the
music video for the Song "to Dream Again" by Lynn Chirchop, Winner
of the Malta Song For Europe Festival 2003.
The highly successful programme Kollox Ma' Kollox, originally aired
on Super 1 TV in the year 2000, was resumed in the year 2003 till
2004 on TVM, and from 2004 till 2005 the programme moved to NET TV.
Bonaci Media started also a Saturday afternoon show on Net TV with
the name "Kollox Sibt". This programme contained appearances by many
popular local personalities; singers, actors, presenters, dancers,
musicians etc... This was a good recipe for a very successful and
entertaining programme for all the family, every Saturday afternoon.
